Alternatives

We all have cravings, whether it is savory or sweet, we have them. For me personally it is ALWAYS sweet! Luckily I have learned the beauty in alternatives. This allows me to subdue my cravings but in a healthier way. Now, go ahead and have a piece of cake or ice cream or chips every once in a while. But, I know for me if I acted on my cravings, it would be a daily occurrence, and let's just say my health goals would take a major set back. I'm here to give you some great healthy alternatives to help with those craving, sweet or salty!


Sweet


Apple with peanut butter


Whipped Cream - I literally eat this with a spoon instead of icecream


Banana and peanut butter


Halo Top- healthier form of ice cream


Nice cream- Usually made with frozen banana, cocoa powder, vanilla, and coconut milk (you can look up recipes on Pinterest or Google.)


Fresh strawberries and blueberries, topped with whipped cream


Oikios Triple zero greek yogurt, with fresh berries or granola (I use Love Crunch Granola)


Cottage cheese with honey



Salty


Plain rice cake with peanut butter or mashed avocado


Beef Jerky


Roasted chic peas


Popcorn


Almonds- There are A LOT of different flavors now, to offer variety


Veggies and hummus


Whisps- these are a Parmesan cheese crisp usually found at Walmart
