I'm Not a Chef

I really am far from a chef, but I can whip it up every once in a while. I keep it simple. I try new things. I burn things. But at the end of the day I also make some tasty dishes. Eating healthy doesn't require a culinary background, but it does mean getting creative. Healthy isn't boring, unless you make it boring. I love knowing what goes into my food, and there is a sense of "I did it," when you do make that tasty and healthy meal. Below are a few of my favorite recipes/ meals that I enjoy.



1. SWEET POTATO SKILLET


This is one of the best breakfasts I have EVER made! It is not difficult, it provides you with a great amount of protein as well as veggies! You can give it your own flare by adding any and every vegetable that your heart desires. The flavor is phenomenal and it fuels you for any day.


2. OATS


I eat these, almost every single morning. They are filling, sweet, and cozy. I love curling up with my oats, while I do my morning devotions and personal development. They keep me happy and full all morning.


3. SHRIMP VEGGIE BOWLS


I have this thing, where I believe everything tastes better in a bowl. Call me crazy, but to me its true. These shrimp veggie bowls have been my go to dinner for the past couple of weeks, and it never fails to impress me. I have been using my air fryer to cook everything, but an oven obviously will do the trick! Feel free to add fresh avocado on the top, diced tomatoes, salsa, or mustard (sounds weird, tastes great! Plus it adds flavor without adding calories.)


4. KALE CAESAR SALAD


I went through a phase, where every restaurant I went to I would get a chicken Caesar salad with a side of fries (balance right?) And then, one day I got a kale Caesar salad and it changed the game completely. I loved the taste over romaine lettuce, the texture, EVERYTHING! I took this recipe from food network, so that you can make your own dressing rather than buying it. It might take a little longer, but it won't have all of those added ingredients or chemicals. Just a clean and tasty dressing!
